This course updates participants' knowledge on cystic fibrosis in an interactive and dynamic environment. Participants are strongly encouraged to submit cases for discussion during the case review period. § Occupational respiratory disease for the clinician
15-17 April 2010, Izmir, Turkey
This course allows participants to improve their recognition, diagnosis and management of occupational respiratory diseases. It comprises lectures, practical workshops and panel discussions. § Tuberculosis at times of emerging drug resistance (TB PAN-NET)
27-29 May 2010, Borstel, Germany
This course aims to broaden participants' knowledge on the key epidemiological concepts, diagnosis skills and treatment options, identify priority areas to research, and, importantly, to build networks. § Medical thoracoscopy
24-26 June 2010, Alexandroupolis, Greece
This course is aimed at pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons who want to train in diagnostic and therapeutic interventional pulmonology. As a rule, two-thirds of the course is devoted to hands-on workshops and one-third to the theoretical aspects of bronchoscopy or thoracoscopy. § Noninvasive positive pressure ventilation
7-9 October 2010, Hanover, Germany
This course will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the current state of noninvasive ventilation (NIV) in acute and chronic settings and hands-on experience in setting up a variety of ventilators. § GRACE: Hot topics in lower respiratory tract infections.
4-5 November 2010, Budapest, Hungary
This workshop covers the most up to date topics including: host susceptibility to infections, recent advances, preview of ERS/ESCMID guidelines, improving the patient care pathway, and H1N1. It takes place within the context of GRACE, an EU-funded network of excellence charged with applying Genomics to combat Resistance against Antibiotics in Community-Acquired LRTI in Europe. § Thoracoscopy and pleural techniques

These courses are aimed at pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons who want to train in diagnostic and therapeutic interventional pulmonology. As a rule, two-thirds of the courses are devoted to hands-on workshops and one-third to the theoretical aspects of bronchoscopy or thoracoscopy. This course is designed to provide a basic overview on all Sleep Breathing Disorders, to understand their specific pathophysiology and consequences. Practical issues covered during specific workshops include vigilance assessment, quality of life, treatment by CPAP and oral appliances, cardiovascular and metabolic assessment.
